This minor gives students the fundamentals of systems engineering. Participants learn how to deal with the system life cycle and use scientific methods for analyzing the operations of a system or organization. The courses help students in technical fields prepare for the information technology work now common in public and private industry.

The PhD program in electrical and computer engineering educates students to do original research on ECE topics and become technical leaders in their fields.

Students learn to apply IT to support business processes. The minor equips graduates with strong problem-solving, writing, and communication skills.
