Strategic Partnerships

The College of Engineering and Computing has strong partnerships with institutions, agencies, and companies to provide opportunities and access to prospective engineering and computing students.

University of Mary Washington, Pre-Master’s Program

UMW students can pursue an accelerated path to a CEC master’s degree through the UMW/CEC Pre-Master’s Program. In this program, UMW students earn graduate level credits from George Mason and apply them as electives towards their UMW undergraduate degree and future master’s degree. Upon graduation from UMW, students apply directly to the CEC master’s program with up to 9 graduate level credits completed.

Gen Next Education provides professional services and prospective student support for graduate recruiting efforts in India through recruitment tours, events, strategic planning, engagement and networking. In collaboration with Gen Next Education, CEC offers multiple masterclasses on specific research areas/topics related to engineering and computing, as well as program-specific knowledge sessions for prospective graduate students.

1+1 Master’s Program

Universidad Politecnica de Madrid (UPM) in Spain and the College of Engineering and Computing offer a 1+1 MS program to select UPM students. Students benefit from earning two master’s degrees, one from UPM and a second degree from George Mason University. Upon completing their first semester at UPM, students enroll in a CEC graduate master’s program to complete their final year.
