Mason is deeply committed to pioneering processes that can answer the grand challenges of water, its responsible management, and sustainability. In fact, the university’s interdisciplinary approach and cutting-edge research as part of its strategic direction, has turned Mason’s campuses into a Living Lab.

The university is on a team, led by the Commonwealth Cyber Initiative (CCI), comprising the newly approved North American Open Testing and Integration Center (OTIC) of the Washington, D.C. area. The OTIC is part of a national effort to strengthen the performance, security, and interoperability of wireless networks.

George Mason University is working with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to develop a course in data center engineering and expand the opportunities in its senior capstone courses.

Fuse at Mason Square, currently under construction in the heart of the Rosslyn-Ballston corridor, will be a new innovation destination uniting scholars, students, researchers, and policy and business developers, working together to accelerate the pace of change and solve our grand challenges.
