Biography

Daniel Garrison is a faculty member in Information Sciences and Technology (IST). Professor Garrison teaches online education, programming, and human-computer interaction in Information Systems and Technology. Before coming to Mason, he was an Assistant Professor at the Rochester Institute of Technology and served as a Principal at Digital Audio Notebook Group. His research focuses on developing new computer technology matrixes that can adjust for the user’s cognitive state. These types of applications have a myriad of uses, from medical and occupational therapies, to education, to assisting military personnel make quick decisions during stressful and chaotic situations.
