    In July 2025, Associate Professor Nathalia Peixoto traveled to Uganda as a Fulbright Specialist and immersed herself in the vibrant academic environment of Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST). Her month-long journey was more than a professional endeavor; it was also a profound exploration of resilience, creativity, and connection across cultures.

  • Research Interests: Control of AC/DC microgrid, robust control of power converters, consensus control, virtual impedance shaping, power quality improvement, non-linear control, electric vehicle control, hardware in loop control applications, high power density converter design-isolated, and non-isolated, machine learning application to power electronics

  • Research Interests: Network and storage systems security and privacy; wireless communication and networking; software-defined networking; network coding, secure and private computation, and private information retrieval

    George Mason roboticists Xuesu Xiao, Xuan Wang, Daigo Shishika, and Gregory Stein presented nine papers at the 2024 International Conference on Intelligent Robots and Systems (IROS 2024) hosted by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers and the Robotics Society of Japan last month.
