Biography
Yicheng Zhang is an assistant professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at George Mason University. He received his PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Riverside. Prior to that, he earned his MS in Computer Engineering from the University of California, Irvine, and his BS in Electrical Engineering and Automation from Sichuan University. His research focuses on hardware and system security, with an emphasis on microarchitectural vulnerabilities and side-channel attacks and defenses on GPUs, FPGAs, and AR/VR systems. His work aims to improve the security and trustworthiness of modern heterogeneous computing platforms and emerging immersive systems.
