Cyber Security

A team of graduate students in information sciences, psychology, and special education aims to create a more integrated understanding of how different populations, such as individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), are affected by cybercrimes and how they can be better protected.

The National Security Administration redesignated George Mason University as a National Center of Academic Excellence, a distinction Mason has had since 1999.

George Mason Information Sciences and Technology professor Sherif Hashem was part of a team that produced a report ‘Cyber Incident Management in Low-Income Countries.’

Mason students competed in VMI's Cyber Fusion, bringing home the first place trophy. The event is co-hosted by Sen. Mark R. Warner, the Commonwealth Cyber Initiative, and the Virginia Cyber Range.

George Mason University College of Engineering and Computing is to be part of the CyManII network as they were recognized by President Joe Biden and the White House Administration for efforts to train the next generation of manufacturers in cybersecurity.
