George Mason University Professor Aditya Johri has received a Fulbright-Nokia Distinguished Chair in Information and Communication Technologies award to conduct research in Finland during the 2021-22 academic year. Johri is a professor in the Department of Information Sciences and Technology in Mason's College of Engineering and Computing.
Research Interests: Data science, causal inference, survey methods, longitudinal data, official statistics, open data, citizen science/crowdsourcing/participatory government, urban analytics, public policy.
Research Interests: Non/semi-parametric regression, methodologies for functional data, spatiotemporal data, survey sampling, high dimensional data analysis.
Research Interests: Computer architecture, CMOS VLSI ASIC design, FPGA-based system design, and GPU architecture and programming

Through a new large collaborative grant funded by the National Science Foundation, Aditya Johri, professor in the Department of Information Sciences and Technology, will work with researchers from Iowa State University and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign on use-inspired research to address one of the world’s grand challenges‑‑sustainably feeding the nearly 9 billion people who will inhabit the Earth by 2050.
