Biography

John Otten teaches computer ethics and society at the College of Engineering and Computing. In addition to instructing undergraduates in the important considerations surrounding legal, social, and ethical issues surrounding software development and computer use, Otten’s research interests include computer science education, parallel and distributed systems, large-scale and embedded systems, automotive networks, computer applications in music, global system for mobile and cellular technology, software optimization.
