Radu Negulescu

Radu Negulescu is a term associate professor in the Department of Computer Science, at George Mason University. He earned his PhD in Computer Science from the University of Waterloo (Canada), and his MS in Electrical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology (USA), and an Engineer degree in Computer Engineering from Politehnica University of Bucharest (Romania). Prior to joining Mason, he taught at several Canadian universities, including McGill University, University of Toronto, University of Waterloo, and Seneca College, and had a research affiliation with Virginia Commonwealth University (USA). I published research about asynchronous circuits and concurrency theory, I supervised to completion 18 graduate students, and for one year I was a member of McGill University's Research Board.

I also have 20+ years of experience working in the industry for companies such as IBM Toronto Software Lab and Sun Microsystems Laboratories Inc., and his own software business. In addition to teaching students about computer science and engineering topics, my research interests are mainly in asynchronous circuits and systems, quantum computing, concurrency theory, linear logic, automatic theorem proving, and machine learning for technology education. His PhD thesis work has been used by several tech firms, for example in electronic products commercialized by Philips. Negulescu says, "I can juggle three balls."
